The Budget office has been established as required of the Municipal Finance Management Act. It is headed up by Mr Fano Ngubane. The core functions of the unit include the following:
- Budget preparation, control and monitoring;
- Monthly budget reporting to the MANCO, the audit committee, the council and its sub committees;
- All statutory reporting to National and provincial treasuries and other government departments; and
- Annual Financial Statements​
